Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our organization as Business Systems Analyst. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting system enhancement efforts by gathering and documenting business requirements, developing and executing test plans, deployments, and validation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Acts as subject matter expert for Department systems. Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
Participate in projects as assigned, create and support Rally stories, attend stand ups, and other required project meetings, provide status updates and impact analysis of proposed system changes/enhancements to business customers.
Provide impact analysis of proposed system changes/enhancements to business customers. Summarize and present issues to a variety of audiences: technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders.
Plan, design, create, maintain and perform/coordinate user acceptance testing with business customers.
Modify process workflow and create and maintain training documentation,
Perform out-of-the-box thinking, collaborate with others, and make a difference every day!
Other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED
A Bachelor's degree in health science, business, IT or related field or equivalent experience is required; minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience working with and supporting business applications in a health insurance environment.
Project management experience including Waterfall and Agile. Knowledge of SQL and healthcare data is a plus.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills. Negotiation, conflict management and facilitation skills. Strong business area and systems knowledge. Ability to determine business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Proven ability to influence without authority and organize complex processes involving multiple, detailed tasks and people.
Resilient, collaborative, flexible, innovative.
