Description

Sr. Acquisition / Program Consultants help client leadership manage, plan, organize, and lead tasks and projects for the entire project management life-cycle. We help them to exceed their expectations in the quality of all program deliverables. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and reviewing program management strategies, documentation, and business processes that support performance based acquisition contracts;

Providing program management support for acquisition programs that provide services and supplies, including major system, and the full life-cycle program support to clients;

Tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation, and closeout; and

Utilizing the Internet and various knowledge sources to stay current on all facets of acquisition.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance is required

Masters degree required in a related field.

Retired military or DOD civilian strongly preferred.

DAWIA III in Program Management required,

Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification preferred.

12 years of experience developing acquisition strategies, concepts, and management techniques leveraging your expert knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency specific regulations, including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).

5 years supporting ACAT I - III programs for the DOD.

Acquisition management experience, to include well-developed acquisition planning, strategy development, negotiations, contract administration, pricing analysis, and related functional assignments in the execution of the acquisition related requirements.

Superior knowledge of performance-based service contracting concepts, strategies, and governing rules and regulations.

Knowledge of program management disciplines, including program management plans, risk management plans, quality assurance plans, performance monitoring requirements and the automated tools, and program status tracking techniques required to support program operations.

Demonstrated ability and desire to maintain and expand client relationships through the delivery of high quality work.

Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication skills - please proof-read your resume before it is submitted

Demonstrated experience with regulatory, policy and related acquisition guidance, interpreting that guidance to a stated situation, and applying on a major acquisition.

Demonstrated ability to think independently and provide others with convincing and persuasive evidence that supports a stated acquisition strategy or position.

Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established quality standards.

Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers and teammates during periods of high stress and tight deadlines.
